Going Home

What a weekend. We took a whirlwind trip to Dallas, seeing friends and family over the whole weekend. We started with a visit at Grandma and Grandpa's on Friday, with a sleepover. The evening was a lot of fun and we had a blast watching "Chicken Little" while Samuel and Jacob played and danced to the music. It was a fun evening. At the end of the night, we sat in the kitchen eating grapes and talking to Grandma. Jacob was fast asleep in his bed. Samuel looked up and said, "Grandma, it is way past my bedtime." 'Nough said.

Saturday morning - head out to the BIG event - Rian and Reese's birthdays! Rian had a Neverland party, with Reese starring as Tinker Bell, Rian as Tiger Lilly and Samuel as Peter Pan. You could not have asked for a cuter crew. Jacob came as himself. . .
The party was a lot of fun, filled with pirates, treasure hunts and an attack on Captain Hook and his ship. It is so wild to see these two running around together and laughing. They met when they were so little - Samuel was 4 weeks and Rian was 6 weeks - and have been pals ever since!

Samuel and Rian shared their first smooch at Samuel's 1st birthday party. I think it is only fitting that Jacob one-ups his brother. At Reese's first birthday, he decided to "pants" her and there she stood with her little tinkerbell ruffles around her ankles and Jacob laughing with glee. Let's hope this is not a sign of things to come. . .
